I realized this rather quickly after living in Denver and then Boulder for about 4 years (steamboat for a year as well during there second snowiest winter on record, that was fun.) I remember one day being mid 70's in Denver and the next day a full on blizzard. In a synoptic view though I'm still more interested in Nor'easters and New England weather in general. Those obs out of DIA are just crazy though.

wxmanmitch
Totally envious of that Colorado storm! That is AWESOME! Put that beast over Cape Cod and Islands... How come New England never gets storms like this anymore?
wxeyeNH
I just heard a report that there might be a lot of cattle deaths with this storm. Many hours of 60-75mph winds on the plains and hypothermia. I really don't know much about Plain blizzards and how out of the ordinary this is. Certainly not super cold but maybe with wet cattle and low wind chills?
