Jan 16 was one in a million. The only time we get stable long lead stuff is when there's a stable west based block. Feb 2010 was similar in that regard but both storms (especially the second one) went through many ups and downs at long leads. Dec 09 had doubts 48-72 hours out.

In this hobby it's a good rule of thumb to never get invested until d4 and even that is pushing it

Thanks, rerun24. jimbob2162 has been getting a little too excited and needed to be talked down.

Bad ending by the Caps ;)

Yes, I know the Penguins suck right now too lol

Goal #4 by Kuznetsov was really nice, though.  Unfortunately, allowing 2 goals within 2 minutes of making it 5-1 wasn't a good idea.  Then it went from 5-3 to 5-5 in less than 2 minutes in the 3rd, with Orlov in the bin for 2 consecutive boarding penalties (commits one, goal scored, he leaves and commits another, tied).  My eyes nearly bugged out of my head at that.

Sweet thumpanzees in Mamma Mia's nightgown! What the flippity flop a dippery dop model is this?! Whatever it is, it seems like the n/s vort drops in and phases with the s/s vort provides a BIG late save for us... so big that the surface low actually moves NNW to near the tip of Long Island, NY lol!

Note the liquid equivalent rates in excess of 1.50"/hr over much of the forum area. I don't know exactly how temperature profiles look but that has got to be 18"+/hr snowfall rates! Absolutely unreal! It dumps in excess of 3 meters of snow through much of the forum in a SSE to NNW axis (locally 4-5 meters, especially in the mountains). :ee:Winds have got to be hurricane force... at least in gusts. :twister:

Also notice New England starting to get annihilated by warm tropical rains and what has got to be hurricane force winds.

The phase/capture of the storm is so weird and unnatural. It makes the storm unnaturally strong and moist kinda like a weenie with way too much time on his hands whipped this up just to aleet everyone of his dominance in Weenieingtonsville thinking that people would actually find him funny.

WHO MADED THIS?!!

Looks like the Deep Thunder model ;)
