lakeeffectkid383
Picked up about 3” or so with this band moving through this evening and still snowing. Picked up about 2.5” this morning so closing in on 6” here as well. Not terrible. Just stinks a good deal of what fell this morning melted during the day while we didn’t have any snow falling for about 8 hours with temps right near freezing. Driving home from work in Hamburg to West Seneca was quite a scary ride to be honest, had to be at least 2”/hr rates. Everyone had their hazards on and you could still barely see them. Not a band event but just think what could have been without so much wind shear...
BuffaloWeather
7.6" storm total, pleasantly surprised. I'm also off the next 3 days, going cross country skiing tomorrow.
TugHillMatt
Excited for you guys who have been hit. So far, the lake effect season has been lame in this part of the Tug. Finally getting some good snow the past couple hours. Jefferson county is getting hammered.

rochesterdave
Someone in Orleans Co must be looking at 10” or so. Still coming down there. Very little in Monroe. About 1” for me.
SouthBuffaloSteve
Just 3.5” total here on the day. The AM band zoomed right over me to quick and the PM band seemed like it only snowed hard for 15 minutes... Oh well maybe next time...

WNash
Buffalo would have been buried but for that sheer. Same problem we have had for years - everything looks ready to go, and then the bands get blown apart and lose strength. Kind of ridiculous that we’re celebrating a 6” event, but that’s the way it has been recently.

You can actually see the different times it snowed by the layers, lol, great pic for sure, and the last 10 hrs or so of the event yielded them the last 14" or so in a short period of time for sure!
