For IAD, it’s already the 9th highest seasonal total out of the last 30.

Nov 11: 7.0"

Onset of storm 8:15 am. Started as sleet flipped over to all snow within 45 minutes. Temps for the main portion of the snow were 28 degrees. 2 hour period of 2" rates. Snow flipped over to sleet then freezing rain in the afternoon with modest glazing in the evening hours. Rain for the overnight hours.

Nov 12: 0.1"

Flipped over back to snow for roughly an hour with the ULL pass (wrap around) at 2:30 am picking up trace amounts.

Jan 13: 2"

Jan 18: 2"

Snow to sleet to rain event during drive back from Vegas.

Light snow began roughly 5 am. Light snow through the day with a heavier burst towards the end before ending around 5:30 pm.

Feb 11/12 4.5"

7am: 1.5" snow depth

Measurement from first impulse through region.

3pm: 3.0" snow depth

Light snow throughout the day.

3am: 4.5" snow depth

Snow to mix.

Post 3am: Max snow depth of 4.5"

Mix to a long duration of Freezing rain to then rain. .1' ice.

Feb 20 5.0"

Snow began 7:30 am

Measurement before lull just after noon of 5"

Freezing drizzle/rain late afternoon evening .1" of ice

March 1st am 2.5"

Weak impulse running through the area. Start time 12:30 am with heaviest of snows ending by 4:30 am. Sporadic flurries afterwards.

March 1st pm 2.5"

Forming coastal, late evening into early morning of March 2'nd.

March 3rd 4.5"

System pulling up from the south. All snow event.Start time shortly before noon. End around Midnight.

 

Season Total: 37.10"

1.5 inches from climo. Very good winter so far.

2018-2019 Season Total: 28.0 (96% of climo)

11/18/18 6.1 Early season noreaster. Powder for 10 hours followed by a crust of ZR. GREAT start to the season.

12/05/18 D Snow showers from an inverted trough dusts my area. Quickly melts once the sun comes out.

01/09/19 D Strong LE bands drop heavy snow squalls. First flakes in almost a month. Tracking a moderate event for the weekend.

01/12/13/19 8.3 30+ hours of snow comes in 2 parts. 5+ from WAA and 3+ from ULL. Great storm!

01/17/19 1.2 Small overnight storm drops a fresh coating on my snow pack.

01/19/19 .2 Big NE storm drops 8 hours of sleet and ZR. Snow pack holds strong and turns to concrete the next day. Single digit temps follow.

01/29/19 1.8 Arctic front drops almost 2 inches of heavy snow in a 2.5 hours period. Possible sub zero temps overnight.

01/30/19 .2 Second arctic front comes through with brutal winds and heavy snow. Whiteout conditions for 10 minutes. Epic Jebwalk!

02/01/19 2.7 Clipper sends 10 hours of snow into arctic air. Late band drops 1.1 inches in an hour and half. Highs in the teens.

02/11/12/19 .7 Monster cutter gives a small thump of snow followed by 2 days of sleet/ZR. Roads become impassable.

02/20/19 6.8 Cutter drops heavy snow for 5 hours. HP moves into perfect position for our area. Forecast sleet fails. Another great event.

the last month hasn't been bad. nickle and dime stuff, missing that Jan storm sucked. oh well.

11/15/18: 1.8" * Very early snowfall boom. 2-4 hours of on and off SN and then sleet. Expected T-0.5"

1/12-13/19: 10.0" ^ Yet another boom. 30 hr event featuring up and down rates, killer WAA and ULL.

1/17/19: 1.6" * Short lived system with decent rates. 2hrs of SN/SN+ in a 5hr system. 

1/29/19: 2.1" * Arctic frontal passage boom. Gigantic flakes, 0.9" in an hour. 

2/1/19: 1.1" * Another minor boom. Expected D-0.5". Tiny flakes with snow falling in the high 10s to low 20s. 

2/10/19: 0.4" *

2/20/19: 4.0" ^ Snow to sleet/freezing rain. Rates of 1-2"/hr during parts of the storm. Absolutely gigantic flakes.

3/1/19: 0.5" * Revised due to NWS totals in my area

Nov: 1.8" 

Dec: 0.0"

Jan: 13.7"

Feb: 5.5"

Mar: 0.5"

I broke climo last with last nights snow. And with what the models are showing for Sunday I have a real chance to break 40 inches on the season. There is no debating that December sucked real bad. But from the beginning of January to now this has been one heck of a nice winter.

I am at 29.8 inches so far on the season. With plenty more expected.
