There was some sleet real early this morning... then rain... then some more sleet (enough to cover my windshield with ice pellets) and back to this MISERABLE cold rain. Even non-weenies in the office are begging for snow. Oh well. Glad the rest of y'all are doing well. Love that we've at least got to an early start in tracking! snowmagnet
So glad that Fairfax Co finally closed. Lee Hwy is a mess, and I’m seeing roads closed in the county due to accidents.

She's pretty close to the mark -- just glanced again outside, and in areas of open grass, I'd estimate that there's ~1" here at Belvoir. All roads and parking lots within sight are mostly snow covered...they're not usually in as good shape on post as they are out on the mains anyway. Still shocked. EB89
This is from my home weather station in Frederick. You can see when the snow finally started falling with the drop in the temps and the rise in the dew point. Looks like it won’t be getting much colder. 09-10 analogy
Gotta say, the size of these flakes and the rate they're falling ... it's somewhat reminiscent of how I remember Veterans' Day. And a minute after I wrote this, the snow's practically stopped ... one more reason why it's never a good idea to exaggerate, even in jest ... BlizzardNole
Welp, MontCo gonna stick with opening 2 hours late - only ones west of I-95 looks like. They'll be glad they did because they only built in two (!) snow days for the winter. Mod snow now with no sleet mixed in. About a half inch.
