GFS is legit cold from this upcoming Friday through the entire following week.

The first forecast snowflake possiblity for the area!

My husband will have a better chance actually seeing a flake while in Albany,NY that weekend.

Wow is it! Winterizing the lawnmower today. Maybe the hose bibs by next weekend!

We drained the sprinkler hoses, this morning. One last mow, mid week.

Traffic on the beltway was awful.  40 mph was the cruising speed.

And i washed my car yesterday too.  Eff monday.

It’s weird. After friday, Monday is usually the least crowded on the train. And with Fairfax schools closed today I though we’d see a few fewer people than normal. Instead, it was wet and crowded and kind of miserable. Thank God I got a single seat on the upper level.

I just went by lower Four Mile Run in the upper Arlington/Alexandria boundary.

Water was flowing over the trunks of trees (normally high and dry even in rain).

The USGS rain gauge near DCA showed about 1.5 inches of water in this latest rain episode, but no flooding.

I drove 35 in 45 mph zones due to all the ponding of water in the roadways.  Hydroplane city, folks.
