But it’s been in this time frame (d14-15) and so far no closer.  So with the pattern we see we’d probably verbatim start paying mid month.  And 6-10 looks good.

Yeah it's not a certainty. There's actually still some weakness north of AK...if that stays there then you can still keep the cold supply intact ala Dec 2007. The one eyed pig isn't quite fully in force on that run...but the trend is toward one by mid-month.

Looking somewhat putrid by 12/9. Def seems like a period of one eyed pig is going to happen. The hope is that it is transient and doesn't plant itself for weeks.

It looks very temporary.  Recent 12 EPS ensemble showing more cold air pressing forward more quicker than the 00Z EPS ensemble.  The GEFS would agree as well bring the cold back by Dec 5th.

Times like these where we a split region and thus two sub regions would make more sense.

Haha, everyone is above normal snowfall and below normal temps this month... in fact I'd bet a good chunk of SNE has a higher percentage above normal snowfall for this winter so far than up north ;)

To me it just reads like winter started early but if expectations were for deep winter and Arctic shots from here on out...well that's on the user.  ORH and Fella keep reminding folks what climo is right now lol.
