Chambana
Still adjusting to this daylight savings , and getting dark at 5PM. Wintry few days on tap, excited to see the first flakes flying. Its going to be a chilly night, already down to 37.

Torchageddon
I had a light dusting in the morning before it melted around 1 pm. Second accumulating snow of the season. This has now happened 3-4 times just this week where out of the blue the sun will come out fully right at 12:30 pm EDT! Its been totally overcast any other time of this week. Usually it'll be for a few minutes and each time its lasted around 5-7 minutes before going back under thick clouds. I think this is more than a coincidence, its +/- 4 minutes from 12:30 and yesterday it was dead on that minute. Today it was 12:27 pm. It shouldn't have happened on a day like this at all. It must have something to do with the peak sun "angle" of the day or exact mid-point of daylight and effects the climate briefly. Any ideas? Record low at ORD for the 10th is 18F (1986 and 2017), which is one of the warmer record lows in November. Already 20 there so could get interesting. MNstorms
7F currently. Record is 6F. Still time to beat it. About inch of snow yesterday helped the temps drop.
Chambana
Under clear skies, temps were able to drop to a bitter 17 degrees, breaking the old record of 19 set back in 1933. Factor in the windchill it feels like 4 degrees outside, a shock to the system for sure.

michsnowfreak
Yesterday's low got to 23゚at DTW under overcast skies strong winds and flurries. Can imagine the kind of lows this airmass would be capable of under clear calm conditions. The snow from Friday morning melted before the temp plunge but occasional flakes still floated through the air yesterday.

cyclone77
Patchy areas of snow still remain from the snowfall a few days back. With temps pushing 40 today that will take care of the rest of that. Should be it for snow for a few weeks. Pattern looks pretty benign through at least Thanksgiving. Each year has been different. Nov 11-12 of 2014 32” fell. It was the wind that made this so impressive. A foot of snow I’d say is pretty common here in Nov tho. weatherbo
snowed very lightly all night, then moderate at times for a while this morning. Forecasted high today of 25 and only 21 tomorrow, normal is 40, I believe.
weatherbo
Feel like I should be posting in the month of December or January instead of talking about November 13. Low temp this morning was 8 degrees with forecasted high of 19, a little over 3" fresh snow yesterday... 21" of snow this month with a season total now 31". Gonna be a spectacular fail almost everywhere in the CONUS by the looks of it. Usually when it's off, you can at least point to it being right in other regions... or getting the general character of the month right or picking up on sharp temperature gradients even if they end up a bit misplaced, but not this time. Hope it doesn't have a cold December I guess?
