MikeB_01
I measure at 7 and at 8. 1"/hr rate has verified in the south hills and it is snowing harder than it has all morning. THUMPING
blackngoldrules
Looking at some of those heavier returns moving in from the south, I wonder if that's where sleet is starting to mix in? Flakes are getting bigger where I'm at and that's usually an indicator that mixing isn't far off.

MikeB_01
Having problems figuring out why the mixing is happening already? Mesoanalysis still shows all column still frozen. Any ideas?

jwilson
All sleet now in Bethel Park/Mt. Lebanon. I was out for about an hour or so and couldn't even keep my car clean, so I gave up. Even an hour ago with some intense rates, it was not a pure snow. Lots of ice pellets/graupel mixing in. I have some pictures I'll post later. We're approaching 4" but I think accumulation is over in terms of snow.
KPITSnow
I’ve actually flipped back to snow, which is surprising.
MikeB_01
Back to snow for me as well. I had 2.75 in before the sleet. I’ll go back out in a little and get what feel since the sleet started. .

This was the biggest snow we've had all winter and it came and went in about four hours. Precip ending much sooner than expected, honestly. At least it appears we won't get much plain rain to wash things away.

A bit of redemption for last month's screw job.

Rd9108
Not a bad event but kinda sad it's our biggest one this season with that being said a huge warm up coming. Then maybe just maybe one last hurah in March but at this point anything we get is usually gone pretty fast.
