Yea I was watching radar& latest models and it looks like the heavy snow axis has shifted 50 to 100 miles north which means north of I-70 is the sweet spot now, my 4 to 8" could be reduced to less than 3" now here in Greene Co. HighTechEE
Made it to 2" and poof, dry slotted for the rest of the afternoon, unless it fills back in somehow.

Steve
I was getting worried about that dry slot to our South ..but it looks like it's filling in and it's snowing pretty nicely here in Newark
dilly84
This thing ever gonna turn east. Dry slot getting close to me north now.. Snow globe type snow.. Taking a long time to add up but up to an inch so far.
Steve
And just as quick as it started it has all but stopped!!
buckeye
Been frustratingly light snow so far with about 1.5-2" down. Best radar returns getting ready to come in and snow finally hitting moderate . I'd guess 3-4 will end up being the end game. Not bad

Not bad Sucks when ya see what it dropped back west and how fast it weakened and dried up. I'm thinking I'll be close with my 3-4" call as well

buckeye
Measured just under 3 and now it's hammering.....upping my guess 4-
HighTechEE
Update, took several measurements and I have an average of 3.75" now and two of those fell in the last 2 hours (3 to 5pm) and still snowing just at hard! Has anyone thought there might be some thunder snow when that deeper moisture in W.KY gets here and the cold air holds out tonight?
HighTechEE
At 6pm up to 5.5" IMBY now, really came down hard over the past hour with huge flakes some maybe 2" across, but now mostly sleet cutting into totals/compacting.
vespasian70
Looks like @ 3" here so far. A total 4-5 looks like a good bet looking at the radar.
sojitodd
4.5 inches measured on a bench in my front yard not near any trees or anything. Cleared off 1 inch of snow off the car before noon and then between 3 and 4 inches about half past five this afternoon. Near West Jefferson. *What is that yellow/orange line advancing from the south into Madison County?...that had better not be non-snow precipitation. If it is I hope it does not make it here. No. Damn. Ice!
Chinook
Heavy snow rates in Dayton?
HighTechEE
17 minutes ago, Chinook said: Heavy snow rates in Dayton? Not right now, just under moderate snow I would guess. From 5 to 6pm was very heavy snow, 1.75" new during that hour, this past hour only 0.2" of new snow fell as it went over to sleet & fr rain for a short time. Back to all snow now with strong radar echoes in Warren Co moving NE into Greene now so should get heavier again soon.
vespasian70
Per HRRR, maybe 2" more here. We'll see. Heavy band just to our south.
sojitodd
Madison County upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning with totals expected to be 4-7 inches. I can't remember the last time we had a warning.
WxItalian
Almost 6" here in NW Greene County. Had brief period of sleet mixed in earlier. Still snowing, so if forecast holds should end up with 7" +.

OHweather
The secondary flare up tonight with the upper low appears to be coming to fruition over IN and will head east...should be a nice boost south of I-70 into Sunday morning. Not a bad storm to break out of a funk with.
snowlover2
Sitting at 6.5" so far. Easily the best storm in years.
