Amped Posted October 4, 2018 Author Share Posted October 4, 2018 Update, Tsunami was larger than anticipated for a 7.5 for reasons yet to be determined. The underwater detection system was broken and never repaired, so they didn't have adequate warning. The ground liquefied from the quake in some areas and that caused some of the damage and deaths.
