Tyler Penland
Yep...steady and increasing. Lots of dry air to overcome...which bodes well for longer duration before freezing rain...hopefully.Mixed with a lot of sleet here in foscoe now. Still a solid coating on the cars/grass already. Currently 33.

Currently 33. Still snow here with a solid covering...maybe quarter to half inch. Won't be long till it's all rain. And my spot here does terrible in weaker CAD so likely just a cold rain once the snow ends.

We've done "well" (i.e. More ice accretion than surrounding areas) the last two ice events but we're still above freezing and I doubt it goes down much more. Yeah if you’re a mountian location with some elevation then temps will climb through the night.
Boonelight
Checking in from Deep Gap! Just a little 1/4” of snow, but it’s coming down pretty good again now. My deck is white, which hasn’t happened in a while. We never got above 34 today, and it’s been 32 for a few hours.

Got to 32.2 and now up to 32.8. Almost all rain now. The King Street cam in Boone looks nice this evening. http://www.resortcams.com/webcams/king-street-boone/
MotoWeatherman
Got somewhere between an half to 1 inch here at 4650 on Beech. Still snowing steady. Snow QPF is .10 inches so far but temp is only 33 so melting is limiting accumulation.

Boonelight
Once again, it’s snowing here. Might be looking at 1.5” to 2” soon. I thought we’d be looking at freezing rain soon, but it’s still snow.

Boonelight
Fat snow coming down in Deep Gap. What is the consensus in the Boone area? You getting snow or ice? I thought this was supposed to be an ice event, but it’s been nothing but snow for us here off of 421 east of town.
MotoWeatherman
Mostly rain now here at 4650 on Beech. Snow line is creeping north now and all of us should be non-snow before much longer.

Nice you did way better than me at 4650 on Beech. LOL. Got about an inch of snow and then just freezing rain all night. Heaviest returns stayed south and east of me. Baconwfu
Between my home (near Grove Park Inn) and work (Waynesville) there wasn't any frozen precip (none in the mountains i could see) and didn't appear that there had been any all night
mjwise
Ended up with 3.5-4" per reports in Blacksburg. All snow as far as I can tell with maybe a trace or so of ZR. Definitely above expectations. ETA: Went out to shovel some of it. Very wet snow. Light freezing drizzle now.

It sure did pour the rain though.
