HurricaneTracker
Just lost power. We are on Haywood EMC. They are over 3,300 outages already and the heavy snows have just started.
Met1985
We have 5.5 inches where I'm at in Haywood and it's still putting it down. Lots of power outages also. This snow is very dense.

chapelhillwx
About to get some sleep. Big flakes still. No idea how much snow we have, maybe 7" at this point? Pics were taken about 40 mins ago or 11:30pm. Size 11 boot print in grass for depth reference.
SnoJoe
Finally picking up some here. Seems like I've been waiting since Monday for this! Looks to be a good one for most. Enjoy. The power issue sucks though and I'm afraid there might be more. As fragile is our power here is, a generator is a must. I think half of French Broad EMC grid is a bunch of extension cords strung through the trees.

The Alchemist
9.5 inches at 29˚/29˚ here in Saluda. Heavy dime sized flakes with a light breeze. Rates look to be about 2.5 inches an hour. (Rates extrapolated from a 15 minute accumulation measurement.). Was out moving snow of the deck and ramp, could here creaking and popping branches. Power has blinked several times the past few hours, really don't expect it to last the night.

So jealous of them and all of you...up here in Central PA it's clear, dry, and cold. No snow in sight here for at least 10 days.
