Buckethead
Moderate snow in wolf now. Nice coat of rime on everything.
SnoJoe
I think Ray may be right on this one. Looks like there is very limited moisture to work with per radar. We'll have to squeeze out every drop to get an inch or two.

Depends on her mood this winter. If she'll just throw us a 6 to 8 by Christmas I'll be cool.
AirNelson39
I’ve been watching my camera as I work on a video and we’ve had some decent squalls come through Boone. Everything is solid white.
SnoJoe
Little over an inch here. Cold, 17.8 with a stiff breeze and still a flurry or two. Maybe another inch tonight. Then it looks to really warm up and back to rain. Pretty typical fall pattern in the mountains.
FlatLander48
Maybe half an inch at the house, hard to tell with the wind. Better than the scene last night when it was just a bit of ice.
Boonelight
Ended up with a dusting overnight. Very light flurries are starting up again here near Deep Gap. 29°
Buckethead
I found 2.25" at 5300' near the top of Wolf (the very NW tip of Yancey County.) We've had flurries all day but now it's picking up a little more. Currently 16°.

SnoJoe
Light to moderate snow now. Already picked up another half inch to go with the inch last night. I agree with Tyler, much better returns on radar than last night. This stuff is dandruff though, at least 20+/1 ratio. Just had a gust to 41 at 14.2 degrees, puts the chill around 10 below. Cold night ahead.
Buckethead
Big flakes here right now. And lots of them. Currently temp 11.6.
Boonelight
It’s coming down pretty good here, and has been for the last hour or so. I hope this keeps up the whole night! We have at least 3/4” right now.

NCSNOW
Oh I wish it was Saturday 12pm right now. Beautiful views on those webcams. Enjoy boys. Lets see if it can keep it up for 6 or so hours and maybe the nam wont look so foolish afterall . By my count this is event #3 so far this season and we still got 3 days of November left to go. Got out of the blocks fast this season. Can the winter of 18/19 be one for the record books? Well know in over 120 days
BMulkey
Boone was getting it pretty good when I left work at 7. Let up considerably as I got close to Blowing Rock, though the wind certainly did not. 15 degrees at my house.

Tyler Penland
Right at an inch here in Foscoe. We're pretty protected from the wind as well so not bad out. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

FlatLander48
Man it's beautiful out. Got home this morning around 530am, and was the first car to come up the hill to the cottages in probably an hour with unplowed roads. Felt like the first true snowstorm of the year lol, but glad to know my Subaru can make it up that hill with snow on it. Coming in at just under 4 inches at the house, loving it.
