I am using a trial of wsv3 because I really like weather and I don't have a lot of money so I can only get a trial. I wanted to turn on the satellite feature but it wont show up do you have to have an allisonhouse subscription or something? also, does anyone know of any free weather programs that are still good for data? thanks in advance

WSV3 has had a lot of issues since launch in December 2015 and still isn't really 100% functional. Satellite feature has been off for a majority of the year and not sure when it will return. I don't suggest buying WSV3. GRearth is a great alternative which is subscription based and has a 7 day free trial and uses Allison house. There's a program that carries free level 3 data that uses contour and layer based programming called Weatherscope. There's a radarscope browser based program on Stormtrack.org which carries level 2 and level 3 data and is free. There's GRlevel2 which carries level 2 data and Grlevel3 which carries level 3 data, but is on a 21 day free trial

The Goes West is now back on, but I can't seem to get the Goes East to appear or the National Radar, for that matter. Anybody getting that to work?
