Said the Triangle has greater chances of up to 50mph or so now. More to the south. Said it isn’t as bad a Fran was but this is a long period of time and it could be significant in places. Well great. I think that is possible contingent on where you live in the Triangle. I live just north of Fuquay Varina and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50 MPH wind gust in my area. Areas north and west of Raleigh probably will not see any winds much above 40 MPH. WTVD's Chris Holman did not show any wind gusts above 45 MPH in his wind estimates for the area. Mother Nature will get the final say as far as how high our winds will get.

Regan
Nah he said even near the airport could see 53mph. I think he’s trying to prep for the possibilities because things have changed a little. Never know. Warned about tornados. Etc. upped the rain. CaryWx
Just got my first decent breezy gusts at 6pm. Seem to becoming more frequently now though.

cmh90
Is she still heading WNW or has she made the turn yet? It’s hard to tell from the IR with the eye being iffy and all.

ryan1234
I'm sorry, but can the mods not get involved and get some of these "wishcasters' relocated to the banter forum? It really muddies everything up and makes this board unreadable. It's a large storm that is beginning to weaken as she interacts with land. She may regain a little strength, but there is no model that has this storm continuing a NW path. It's going to wobble NW back to the W. And probably to the WSW or SW soon, based on current model projections.
