Was thinking about Fall into Winter - Is it true that an El Nino fall normally brings on a early to start to winter threats like 02-03, 09-10 , etc or is it random, any ideas ? Pretty sure ninos are usually back loaded. Those 2 winters were unusual.

coolio
1.02" from Florence remnants thus far. (although a mini train moving up from the SW) Also, on of the TV mets had the Euro calling for a lot of action for our area today vs. the GFS that had all the action staying in the mountains to the W. Looks like the Euro won.

RichmondTarHeel
There was some damage about a mile from my house from one of the Midlothian tornados, but my neighborhood is safe. Looks like more storms tomorrow as Florence exits. Would we get round 2 tomorrow or should those be more “normal” thunderstorms? Today was pretty damn scary. North Balti Zen
Co-sign on the two rounds of storms for Baltimore - first cluster at 11 pm and then a hellacious storm around 2:30 am. That one must have been a tremendous lightning show.
