#NoPoles
So weird...the winds abruptly stopped about 10 to 15 minutes ago. Had some porch furniture rearranging gusts, and then all of a sudden it just stopped
tamarack
Brief heavy downpour about 4:25 and now the winds are picking up, though nothing beyond the 20s yet. Looked at radar about 3:30 and decided the deer can wait for another day to fool me.
CoastalWx
Another tree down and wires just diagonal from the end of my street.

HimoorWx
Big oak down three houses down from us. Fortunately it fell just the right way to miss house, wires and street. Our handyman is up cleaning our roof now. Hope his boots have good grip.Sent from my SM-T713 using Tapatalk

Sounds like a sh*tshow with cars stuck on some steep curves and a couple inches of greasy snow. This is from a friend on the Stowe side of the pass. Ahhh all in good fun... (I can walk out from the front porch, though I drive down the road a bit so the dog won't follow.) Saturday upcoming and next Monday for me - hoping for decent wx. Have not put on the orange yet. Strong winds, but nothing approaching advisory level in our sheltered locale. Saw some pink clouds and a bit of blue on the horizon at sunset. Had 0.90" as of 7:30 AM, guessing 3-4 tenths since. I don't have the luxury to walk out the front door, lol, I have hunted in Livermore the last 30 yrs or so which is 35 mins away, I have a bonus tag in zone 22 which is in this area so i went out this afternoon to scope out an area not to far from the house, Also took a ride to Greene where i had hunted back in the 70's, Went up to an orchard where we use to hunt, saw it was hunting by permission only, And low and behold big doe walking between the first row of trees about 25 yds from the truck, She stops and looks at me in the truck, And just continues to walk up the row............. wxeyeNH
Winds are roaring but Im protected in this direction so only 31mph gust. Just checked on my electric provider. Of 80,000 people 3.2% are now out.
CoastalWx
The guy in N Weymouth had 68mph. But I’m skeptical. He’s got it mounted on a fence like 20’ off the ground. He’s near water, but seems high to me.

HoarfrostHubb
We had some decent winds earlier...prob in the 25-35 mph range. Some dead branches down. A few stronger gusts. moneypitmike
I'm without an anemometer these days but we had three times during the afternoon and once after sunset when it was just ripping. Per the storm reports, it looks like a couple trees came down in town.
Tom12309
Here's a totally reliable gauge for ya... went for a two and a half hour bike ride west of the Dorptown here. Into the wind it was roaring, in a crosswind I leaned about ten degrees into it to stay straight and if it gusted I needed a good grip on the bars. Heading home at 30mph there was no wind noise in the helmet at all. Would have been real fun with deep section wheels on.
