Typhoon Tip
Last hurrah of this warm season ... probably ends this Thursday night or Friday. Next time it warms up it's likely to Indian Summer or some freak-show in the midle of winter like last February, ..else, next spring. Speaking of which, this patter with this tall ridge dome looks a lot like that pattern last February. Just some perspective, we managed 78 to 82 at during that apex warm spell, with solar < than this coming week. GFS with grapple look a week from tomorrow... Probably even noodles mixed in the cores, particularly in the elevations.

Really nice color out there today steadily increasing. Peak should be right before Thursday's fropa. Then its ova up here.... Edit. We still will have the 2nd oak peak next week... HoarfrostHubb
74 here I was hoping that the clouds would keep people away from my local farm brewery. Boy was I wrong. Place was packed. Lines were longer than I had ever seen for the BBQ and beer. We didn’t even park. Just left and went to Wachusett Mountain and had a beer there

Damage In Tolland
Unreal dews. I saw folks out doing lawn work , leaf blowing /mowing with no shirts and glistening backs in the sun. Dew got up to 71. 70 dew now and I’m drenched after doing the lawn. Never recall dews like this so late. Wait till we have 3 days of them this week
rimetree
Purely a "sense" but seems unusually cloudy fall this year. Even in Sept., which is normally clear most of the time. 60/52 with mist. I think this kind of weather brings bigger crowds to the festivals of beer and food this time of year as opposed to sunny and warm. People want to feel the season. wxmanmitch
Damaging fog out there tonight! Could hardly see and had to go less than 10 MPH on the dirt roads up to the house. By the time I get up to the house, it clears and the stars are visible.
