It was Downeast Maine that did the thievery, with 2 ft plus in eastern Washington County. Same as the 1st big storm of the season in early November, when inland Downeast got 12-20" and we got 0.5". Had 0.72" thru 7 this morning with only drizzle to come unless the CF storms hit this afternoon/evening.

I was driving up route 24 between 11:30 and midnight, and it was some of the heaviest rain and worst driving I have seen in a while. Wanted to pull off into the breakdown lane a few times, but I was afraid someone wouldn't see me and plow into the car.
RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Some streets were still closed off on the way in, cars being towed away. Riverside homes swept down the Housatonic. Memorable event.

Cold Miser
...Norwich Schools 2 hour delay due to Yantic River Flooding the streets. Brooklyn Fairgrounds next to my apartment was flooded. Small pond formed at the west entrance. Good thing for the "Early Warning Weather", and "Weather Alert" forecasting. I was able to fend off any panic I might have had otherwise thanks to the forward thinking t.v. network producers and their eye catching slogans .
