Meh, Its over, The onslaught has ended, Another frost this am, Had to kick the heat on in the house for the first time this season.

Yea, been a quick fade into fall. Doesn’t mean there won’t be AN days moving forward...especially in winter, when some are kung fu gripping their 2” snowpack.

6z FV3 GFS has some snow  in the extended around day 9..  that would be a lot of fun for central  and northern New England..

Ha, That got me to look, Looks to be at least BN in that time frame, More then likely a cold rain outside the higher elevations possibly verbatim "if" that verified.

said no one in Dec early Jan last year

And despite that early cold last winter was still an above normal one. That's basically the point that as cold as we perceive it to be at times, it still generally works out to be just average. Meanwhile we rip off days of +11 and +13 dailies and hang +4 monthlies like it's our job.

Most certainly if you were a betting person, you'd have to bet above normal long term.  Vegas odds are for warm, ha.

Short term anomalies sure can be below normal, but any extended time frame will be above normal.  Even if its only a meh +1 or +2 or whatever.  The entire US is generally covered in above over below anomalies in longer term looks.

It just seems like it would take something special to get the inverse of that map, like the entire country at 0 to -4.  And if it happened, the chances of doing it 2 years in a row would be astronomical.

Youre right, just embrace it lol.

I'm sort of egging the commander of cold on, but speaking from a global standpoint..we warm. It's just our little pocket has been relatively cool at times. Which I am not complaining at all.
