JustinRP37
Yeah if it could just go ahead and stop raining for a bit that would be nice. Our COOP building had never had as many leaks as this year with how hard and wind driven the rain has been. It is literally finding all the crevices to enter the building. Can't wait to move within a year to a bigger place (hopefully without any leaks because this is ridiculous).

If we can get an organized squall line I could see it making a decent way out on to the island. But the beat chance will definitely be from the city west. I think even that is a stretch. Looks like the hudson valley and points north and east of there will do well. I think New Hampshire and Massachusetts have the best chance of severe weather IMO. gravitylover
Looking through the list that Don posted above it's strange that all around me reported over 2" but the closest station on the list in Croton Falls was only 1". Looking through a variety of other sources everything was over 2" also so I guess that one gets tossed...

With convection the amounts can vary widely over very short distances.

winterwx21
Hoping for a strong storm tonight. Next week looks warm. No sign of that first really chilly fall airmass. Long range looks warm for us.
NJwx85
We're plenty unstable at the surface and shear profiles are increasing as the front approaches. We could possibly get some discrete activity out ahead of the main line which looks to cross the area between 01-02z.

Drz1111
Broad but reasonably strong rotation on the tail end charlie west of Scranton. Given storm mode, that’s the cell to watch, especially as it taps into the enhanced shear in the Wyoming Valley.

Thanks, Chris, looks very close to our latest 90 degree day, which was October 10, 2007 I think? Do you have a number for our earliest 75+ dew point? I would think it wouldn't be any earlier than April, just like the first 90 degree day. Do you have that graph for 75+ dew point days updated for number 42? It's been sunny here and feels both hot and is humid and I'm going to turn the AC on lol. I think tomorrow is the anniversary of Hurricane Gloria.
