HIPPYVALLEY
Decided to ski Black Mt today to avoid the Attitash/Wildcat crowds. What a fantastic little old-school New England mountain! Great conditions, no lines and beautiful wooded trails.
Angus
Good choice. I was looking at wildcat base webcam yesterday. Don't think I've ever seen longer lines.

Sugarloaf1989
I'm skiing at Blandford tommorow morning and they received 3" of new snow. Looks like a cold and sunny day tomorrow. Should be nice packed powder. I hope it's not insanely crowded.
EMontpelierWhiteout
Great morning at Stowe. A lot of snow in the woods, although ome icy spots to remind you what is underneath. Nice large flakes falling gently most of the morning. Big fluff factor.

Returning to the doc on Tuesday. Kinda sucks. The conditions at WaWa have not been great, but having to sit on the sidelines is depressing. What crash? You OK? amarshall
First day at Alta. Nothing forecasted and 7" dropped from what they call an upslope event off the lake. Absolutely magical here. So much snow. 9h ago report https://opensnow.com/dailysnow/utah/post/14029

PowderBeard
Heading to Magic for Thursday and hoping for the best. Could be one of those deals where Bromley down the road with the 500' higher base does a ton better.

The terrain change from the Salt Lake Valley to those canyons where the ski resorts are is incredible. Just straight wall of rock for the weather to act on.

Warm push aloft is the issue and eveywhere changes over to IP and maybe some ZR. Shouldn't be much of difference between Magic, Bromley, Stratton. powderfreak
Posted this in the NNE thread but worth sharing in the Ski Thread too... Snow depth yesterday and today was 102" and 101" respectively. Only 1969 had a deeper depth right now at 108".

snowgeek
3 great days at Mt. Bachelor with no lift lines. Supposedly the summit lift is often closed due to wind an visibility. People said Sunday and Monday were the 2 best days of the year. Guess I got lucky lol. The mountain is huge and easterners supposedly rarely go past Colorado, Utah, etc. Yesterday it did cloud up and there were times when visibility was extremely low. Every lift is a detachable quad except for an old double that they keep for nostalgic purposes. The mountain really swallows the crowds. No lines on a holiday week!!Hanging out in the lowlands and then off to Timberline on Friday. .
Ginx snewx
Ugh The body of a skier who went missing on Monday at Heavenly Ski Resort has been recovered. Brett Herrick, 62, was found in the trees between the Comet and Dipper runs by Heavenly Ski Patrol and a K9 search dog. His body was found immersed in deep snow. He was unresponsive.
