Some record-tying and record-breaking high minimum temperatures for today:

Bridgeport: 76° (old record: 75°, 1973, 1974, and 1976)
Islip: 73° (tied record from 1973 and 1976)
New Haven: 74° (tied record from 1974 and 1976)
New York City:
…Central Park: 79° (old record: 78°, 1948)
…LGA: 81° (old record: 79°, 1948)
Poughkeepsie: 71° (tied record from 1973)
White Plains: 74° (tied record from 1973)

I dont think most offical reporting stations meet the criteria. I suspect unoffical measurement in a backyard or something similar maxmize the dew point potential in a way a barren mostly concrete airport does not. Central Park could but they dont have the heat to match the humidity.

JFK, FRG and ISP all had 103 earlier, i presume even higher between hours, and they are further south than me. No doubt in my mind much of Western/Central LI were over 105 for a time today.
