jewell2188
New Baltimore/warrenton area had to have received a quick inch or more. Quite a bit of street flooding ongoing.

Jebman
Heavy rain pouring and pouring and pouring. Getting outright waterboarded. The last soaker dumped 12 inches of rain in 5 days, with 2.5 inches before that. Here we go yet again, we already had at least 14 inches on the month. Pile it up, will ya? In play but it's going to take a big day tomorrow to make it happen, and it looks like Wednesday is our best shot for a big rain, not tomorrow. Think we need about two inches at BWI to break it, which is going to take some serious rain obviously.

EastCoast NPZ
Picked up .50". Not bad, but the ground truth was weak sauce compared to the radar. Lots of yellows, oranges, and reds as the line came through, but it didn't live up to that. Best part of the day was the wall-to-wall cloudiness. Always a treat, but even better at this time of year. WVclimo
0.80" this afternoon. 7.26" for July, the third month in a row that my yard exceeded 7". I haven't found any other instances of that happening in this area after checking various records going back to the early 1900's.
mattie g
The line that came through the DC area during rush hour looked a lot more potent on radar than it actually was. Decent rains, but it looked as though a line of storms was barreling through. Curious to see if we broke 1”, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we did because it was a nice moderate rain for a couple hours.

AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Yeah I'm sure everyone is in their own bubble... good luck with that. The rain is completely unnatural and there are no clouds in the upper atmosphere. It was in the 60s and 70s under bright blue skies in July. Where's the rain? Everybody wringing their hands because antecedent conditions are "wet". It's the height of summer and we had a week between events. This is a total snooze fest. 87storms
i'll tell you what's unnatural...camping without an air mattress. that was unpleasant. might need to make a trip to REI. what's also unnatural is that we've had so much rain, but not much in the severe department. it's been very tropical remnants-like recently. i'm kinda done with this pattern. would definitely prefer a more natural summer pattern where it's generally partly to mostly sunny/warm during the day with popcorn storms in the afternoon.
