I don't think thats possible... 600 feet away its raining and you have nothing?

I was standing on a front porch in Clifton a few hours ago and watched for 2-3 minutes the houses on the opposite side of the street get poured on. I was nearly drop free only 200 feet away, save for some mist. 80 ft behind me in the backyard was completely dry. It was pretty cool actually. Those of us who golf often witness this phenomenon occasionally.

From this afternoon's AFD from LWX re early next week... chance of flooding again and maybe some severe:

Monday into Tuesday, the stalled boundary to the south will move
northward as a warm front and bring showers and thunderstorms to our
region. A upper level trough will intensify and shift southward over
the central US and the Appalachians Mountains. The trough is
forecast by both the GFS and Euro to tap into the Gulf moisture. The
magnified trough is forecast to interact with a Bermuda high off the
east coast to funnel tropical moisture into our region. This is a
similar set up as this week other than the formation of the coastal
storm. If this solution plays out the region is likely to see
another extended period of precipitation for next week which could
include some severe weather. The models are indicating precipitable
water values above two inches starting Monday and lingering through
the early parts of next week. These high precipitable values could
mean the threat for flooding could return for next week.

Rt. 27 corridor in Maryland from Germantown to the Mason-Dixon line is about to get a good soaking...now that's some training.  Winds have shifted out of the east here in Reisterstown...I wonder if there's a subtle boundary or bay breeze that firing the storms off of Parr's Ridge? @wxmeddler would probably know more.

today is the day.  best torrents since saturday here.  one of them was a slow mover that was a total gully washer.

radar is liking moco.  if those cells continue in, then there's going to be some legit ponding.  these are torrent producers.
