The last soaker dumped 12 inches of rain in 5 days, with 2.5 inches before that. Here we go yet again, we already had at least 14 inches on the month. Pile it up, will ya? Lots of yellows, oranges, and reds as the line came through, but it didn't live up to that. Best part of the day was the wall-to-wall cloudiness. Always a treat, but even better at this time of year. Decent rains, but it looked as though a line of storms was barreling through. The rain is completely unnatural and there are no clouds in the upper atmosphere. It was in the 60s and 70s under bright blue skies in July. 87storms Posted July 31, 2018 Share Posted July 31, 2018 i'll tell you what's unnatural...camping without an air mattress. that was unpleasant. might need to make a trip to REI. what's also unnatural is that we've had so much rain, but not much in the severe department. it's been very tropical remnants-like recently. i'm kinda done with this pattern. would definitely prefer a more natural summer pattern where it's generally partly to mostly sunny/warm during the day with popcorn storms in the afternoon.
