I saw that at MSS. It could be a new record for so far north in NY. But you know it's humid when a marine layer is backing SW off of Eastern LI with 850's above +20C.

My Davis had a Max heat index of 115 yesterday in lake george, currently it's 90/80

94 dew 71.

For a change, LGA is the "cool" spot at 86 with a NE breeze. Its influence doesn't look like it extends beyond that.

LGA went from 84 at 11:40AM with the NE wind to 95 one hour later at 12:40PM with the wind shifting to the south.

Crazy jump.

SE wind did the trick today...after reaching 94 at noon, slow decline thereafter down to 90 now.

Yeah, it's been steady 94-95 here since just before noon. Still 94 now, humidity is down slightly from low 70s dew to upper 60s.  Wonder how hot it could of gotten without a light E/NE breeze.

This was our typical post 2013 higher end summer heatwave with temperatures topping out in the upper 90's at the major sites.

we need a PDO flip so we get stronger western troughs and more EML advection
