HighTechEE Posted June 6, 2018 Share Posted June 6, 2018 Hey all, was reviewing PWS's on this site recently: https://www.weatherstationadvisor.com/ and decided to get the Ambient Weather WS-2902A one that supports WiFi. Installed the sensor out in the middle of my backyard and got it working on Ambient's with their phone app and on their website just fine (worked perfect first try) and also the Weather Cloud site, but cannot get it to show up on WeatherUnderground. Went through all of the FAQs and the closest one to my problem was to make sure the TOD clock on the 2902 is exactly right with your time zone and it is, still no luck. It did connect for like 1 second last Friday night on its own about midnight, but nothing for a week before that, and no updates since. Here's my station ID: McB_WS_2902 KOHBELLB15 if you guys happened to see it on the WU maps with PWS's enabled. Any hints will be greatly appreciated! Chief83 Posted June 6, 2018 Share Posted June 6, 2018 I had a similar situation with all my displays, phone, etc working except the WeatherUnderground map on the internet site. I sent them an email and never heard back, but after about 8 days - it started working again. It was down about 3 weeks. I have no idea if they did something at their end to fix it or it for an unknown reason fixed itself. From what I have read they are not very responsive to issues??? Don't know how true that is, but I have never gotten a reply. (but its working now) Good luck. I have an Acurite 5 in 1 and you have to have that site password the same as your undergroundweather password. I don't know how Ambient works. Found this thread and turns out it was a firmware issue with Ambient Weather, not WU: https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=34499.0 Disabled the Weathercloud account that was interfering with WU's data, and it works perfect now!
