Hurricane Agnes
Ended up with 0.15" of rain from the thundershower last night. Currently 78 and mostly cloudy. Seeing some scattered showers off to the west and am not sure how the temps will respond today with the front pressing down from the north and the current overcast. It will depend on whether the sun can break out in full before the front arrives.
Birds~69
Really not that bad of a day out there. DP has gone down to 71F from 74F this morning and it will continue to fall. And the 1pm temp is 83F...

Hurricane Agnes
The cool front has moved through and starting to feel the difference in the air with the breeze. High so far today was 87 here and the generally overcast sky most of the morning and early afternoon kept the temps down under 90. Currently 86 with mostly blue sky and just a few puffy cumulus. Hurricane Agnes
Actually had the same high today as yesterday - 87 - which was surprising given today was progged as the "cooler" day. The mixing of dry air from yesterday (with the noticeable breeze) was missing today, so it actually felt warmer today as well (probably because there was more sun too). The drier air has been evaporating some of the showers to the west though. It's currently clouding over now and 85.

To top it off the nice yellows and reds appear headed to our south...

Will have to see if any of that makes it here although the heaviest may stay south. We might get the heavier stuff over the weekend though. Currently 78 and overcast. Happy first day of summer tomorrow morning at 6 am ET I believe!
KamuSnow
^^^ Did the old fizzle fade here, maybe a little something later on? This is a re-useable post so far this season. Eta - don't get me wrong, overall we've done well rainfall wise here, to this point.

That area to the west is showing a little more promise...of course it could go "poof" right at my doorstep but I think we'll get something. The "reds" are growing a bit on the NW corner... RedSky
Need some rain here everything has fizzled since the great septic flood like a month ago. In other news i am puzzled by the lack of thunderstorm activity this year. One would think with the predominant weather pattern having been swinging back and forth frequently from cool to hot and a chilly vortex parked in southeast Canada most of the time we would have had significant activity, I had one decent thunderstorm night and two weak waves of storms that fizzled in May and June. Quite strange.

Quite strange. Not as dry here, although in the last week things dried out pretty good, between the heat and sun angle and all. Picked up about 0.3" from this pop up shower just now. Currently 71F, DP 68. We've had a couple of good thundershowers here, but a lot of the rain has fallen with horizontal boundaries nearby and generally cooler temperatures. Not too much of the classic fronts from the west/NW running into hot and humid air with other supporting factors...so far anyway. Lot's of summer to go yet (actually all of it calendar wise, lol). Hurricane Agnes
Wow. Not a (measurable) drop of rain. I expected at least something overnight but that drier air meant business and continued to evaporate the stuff away as it approached (so far). Will see if any leftovers make it here later this morning.
Hurricane Agnes
Finally getting a very light rain. It's been going for about 15 minutes and it finally tipped the bucket for 0.01" (so far). May still have to pull out the hose today. Temp is currently 69.
JTA66
I feel like Even Stephen ... Monday evening, those storms were supposed to fizzle before reaching us. But I got a pretty decent t-storm out of them. Last night the forecast called for rain, possibly locally heavy. I got nada. We'll see what the weekend brings, but really don't know what to think (expect) at this point.

Similar thoughts regarding the weekend, but seeing 80% pops for Saturday 2 days out indicates high confidence on Mt.. Holly's part at least. Uh, make that 60% now, thought it was 80% earlier. Medium confidence then.

Hurricane Agnes
Cloud deck is starting to break up quickly now with some blue visible and sun popping out. Ended up with 0.04" from this morning's light rain (enough to wet the ground and plant foliage). Will probably still have to pull out the hose. Temp up to 71. Hurricane Agnes
It's been weird today with the battle of the air masses, with humid air fighting chilly dry air and mixing it all up. Have had on and off very light rain but not enough at one time to tip the bucket (so far). It's been more than mist or drizzle but less than a light stratiform shower... It's almost like those on and off tropical spritzes but without the tropical temperatures. Currently spritzing and 67, after a high of 71.
