Hopefully today is the last of the ludicrous heat as Redsky would say and tomorrow we start to back down to plain-old-uncalled-for-late-season heat. Today should be last of it w/temps in the 90s, 80s tomorrow and 70s Friday....grass took a beating, brown spots.
Hurricane Agnes
Ended up with a low of 75 & high of 94 yesterday. This morning's low was a similar 75 but it hit 91 before 11 this morning (and just after 11 yesterday). Currently 91 w/dp of 70. The winds have been calm both days, outside of a few puffs here and there, which makes the air thick as mud.

JTA66
Looks like the Atlantic starts getting active next week which would help pump the WAR. Guess the models are starting to see that, hence the return of the pig ridge. 92.6F/71DP

Guess the models are starting to see that, hence the return of the pig ridge. 92.6F/71DP Yeah, that ridge has been continually knocked down a bit by a series of troughs and weeks of rain, so it definitely could have been worse. But now that we dried out, it could get worse with the dry topsoil... However this time of year means the sun angle has shifted too and we are only a few weeks away from the equinox at this point. I banged 94 earlier this afternoon but am at 93 at the moment. Have gotten a little bit more air mixing IMBY so it hasn't been as suffocating here as it was yesterday. ChescoWx
Of course no heat wave here in NW Chester County Pa with while it was the hottest day of the month we could only squeeze out an 87.7 today. However, down on the NJ Beaches today was the hottest day of the summer with a high in Sea Isle City today of 93.7 - this was the 3rd 90+ day of summer at the shore- while back inland in the western Philly burbs no 90+ temps since July 3rd and only four 90+ days this summer!
