NAM is a little more encouraging. the flow becomes more favorable later this afternoon it looks like which might be out of the hrrr range of utility. i think we might be in somewhat of a holding pattern until the va low takes shape and we get more of a moisture influx off the atlantic. CAPE
Its juicy out there. There will be some locally heavy rain through tomorrow. This is the type of set up where some locations will get 3"+ and just as many other places will see less than a half inch.
CAPE
A slow moving/ nearly stationary line of heavy rain has developed here. Extends back to the SW over the bay. Thats where the heavier stuff is and it's not moving much. Looks like places like St Michaels are getting a deluge.

osfan24
Guessing Flash Flood Warnings will be going out soon for those small areas being impacted by that band stretching from just west of the bay onto the Eastern Shore. That thing is not moving at all.

Looks like places southwest of me are getting hit hard.

Jebman
Looks like south central VA and eastern West Virginia are going to be the jackpots. Those areas are already getting smashed. Other places will probably have sporadic showers from time to time. The West Virginia jack was model indicated but not the south central VA jack. That one is a surprise. EastCoast NPZ
That batch of rain out to the southwest has been relentless. What I wouldn't give for such an event. Off to mow in the soup again. And under partly sunny skies. This flood is epic.
southmdwatcher
Rain has begun here and more showers look to be building along this boundary. Could be quite wet later on.

BlizzardNole
Partly sunny and 80 in Germantown -- couldn't be happier with a big graduation party today. I thought we'd be picking up our relative at BWI earlier and having our party in steady, moderate rain. Hope it can hold off until tonight, but that might be pushing it! EastCoast NPZ
Full sun now. Hot and humid. Pouring sweat. The flood watch must have been for the sunlight flooding the ground with UV..

Of course I dont want the excessive rain like you do lol. If I end up with an inch through tomorrow night I will be happy. USPS just delivered my mosquito dunks. Round 5 going in probably tomorrow. CAPE
Hopefully that heavy rain band over Howard county keeps moving west, away from Ellicott City. This is a precarious set up for that area.

87storms
I can attest to it being preposterously humid out. It’s the type of humidity where you think somethings wrong with you.
