Radarscope has a storm right over top of Stephen's City

Small cell blossomed over-top, but centered just north of my yard.  Nearest PWS showed .03".  I'm at work, 4 miles north, and haven't received a drop.  Big line went just north of Winchester (like always) earlier, and another big line now moving just south of my yard in Stephens City.  Whiff.

Got thrashed pretty good by this line, heavy rain and some fairly dangerous lightning. Didn't take long for that thunder to chase me right back in the house lmao. Got 1.3 inches of rain and still raining. I had just managed to wrestle control of the lawn back. Well - there goes the neighborhood again, grass will grow like a weed again lol

Whoa DCA already at 93/72.  Only got down to 78 and was 86 at 11 pm last night.

That cooler air can't get here soon enough!  Hope we catch one of the thunderstorms.

Yesterday we had a 77 degree dewpoint at 7pm. That is highly representative of Buda, Texas weather much of the 6-7 month long summer there, where I am definitely headed within a few short weeks lol

Actually, found about .4" in my gage when I got home.  Not sure why that PWS registered so low; it's pretty close by and the radar seemed to indicate it was closer to the center of the cell.  Oh well, did better than I thought.

My rain gauge said I got 1.5" when I got home. Pretty good downpour.  I'm fairly close to DCA and I see they got .91 and they always underreport.

I'm new here so what does "discobs" mean?

Been working outside today and didn't get bad until the past hour or so. I Usually start early and quit early on days like today. I was working at a log cabin vacant for a year and I guess the heat got to some snakes living inside the attic because 3  came  crawling out right onto the deck and headed towards a pond ...black snakes about 6 foot long

This is just one of many reasons why I couldn't hack it as a contractor. I get the heebie jeebies working in my own home and I know most of the critters here.  The worst is the universe of creepy crawlers that reside behind the corrugated plastic in the basement's French drain. Some of those spiders are straight out of a horror movie, which is why my old hockey stick is kept on the basement stairs.

On topic, it's a perfect morning for the official last day of spring.

Over 2" on the day.  About 2.5" since yesterday.  3 storms today, but I wasnt home to record individuals.  Suffice to say that the last one was the bulk of it.  Impressive.

I will definitely be mowing this weekend.

Impossible.  I thought that there was a no rain shield around you
