mini bust here.  didn't get much of anything friday...a brief shower saturday...and i'm assuming a half inch overnight.  flood watch not needed.

also, i noticed that the potomac has receded dramatically in the last few days.  pretty incredible how quickly that happens.  some of the campgrounds that were completely flooded are now back.

1.85" for the weekend here. 0.75" on Sat and 1.10" last night into this morning. Low end of what was forecast, which I am good with.

Need the mosquito breeding ground to start drying up. It's shrinking in coverage some but still more expansive than normal for June.

the rain this season has been epic, but a bit slackin' imby in the storm department.  i'm good on the flooding, but i'd like to see a legitimate banger rumble through at some point in the next week or two.  what jan/feb is to snow here is what june/july are to storms.  it's go time.

1.1 Saturday evening, .35 yesterday, and .2 today.  Total 1.65 is pretty good if you don't consider the forecast for yesterday and last night.  But, clearly this was yet another PA and beaches event.  NWS looks a bit silly for all the flood watches.

Hopefully you'll get the 10,000 year flood you are seeking.

I've been loving it. Lots of rain and cool temps has been great. My garden has been a piece of cake so far. No watering in 90/75 while covered in mosquitoes.

Nice little shower coming through now. I hope Hrrr is right about the soaking tonight.

It's fine if you are an amateur farmer, I guess. If you want to get in the pool, or BBQ, or go to the beach, or go on the boat, or play sports it's pretty much sucked balls.

12z GFS starts pushing mid 90s into the region starting on Monday and Tuesday before being (looks like at least) backdoored on Wednesday (70s) through Friday (70)... temps after that are decent around 80 degrees

GFS and Euro now both take us to the upper 90s next week.  GFS on Monday, Euro on Tuesday.

One extreme to another. I fully expect drought talk in a month.

Pretty much into hit or miss season now with storms. I have been hoping for a dry period to dry out the wetland, but the "upland" part of my property where the house and yard is has excessively well drained soil. Even with over 10" of rain the past 5 weeks, this time of year a 10-day stretch without significant rain and things transition to dust bowl. Grass can go to thatch quick. All the trees don't help either.
