Now that is crazy, the temperature difference between here and your location. But yes, it did feel nice after the storms hit.
calculus1
This has been the driest June in the seven years that I've lived here in Hickory. I have picked up only 1.63 inches of rainfall so far during June. Fortunately, April and May were much wetter with over 9 inches of rainfall during each month. Solak
Topped out at 95 yesterday. I guess the weather is taking a break today during peak heat hours A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. FLweather
What is up with the models? There is a low pressure currently off Clearwater Beach. It's been lingering there for the last couple days. Yes it's weak
calculus1
Pretty crazy motion on the steering current for the storms today. Just had a pretty hefty storm pass over the house...from East to West. That's a rarity around these parts. Really wierd to see the storm approach from the opposite side of the house than they usually come from. I'll gladly take the rain though, no matter from which direction it comes.Sent from my Alcatel 6055U using Tapatalk

Solak
Surprise shower dropped .22" here last night. Parts of Wake got over 2" from the same cell, prompting a short-term flood advisory. A heavy shower/storm impacted portions of Johnston/Wake counties early this morning, dropping up to 2 inches of rain across portions of northwest #Raleigh. This caused a quick rise along portions of Crabtree Creek, with 6 to 8 foot rises recorded. No flooding reported. #NCwx
