I'm going to take the under.

Regardless, for those of us that work outside in these conditions, Friday and Saturday will be a rough go...dangerous really. Why people root for this sh*t is beyond me.

Under wins for IKK, as I predicted. :D

Friday's peak HI was 108˚, for one 15 minute ob...otherwise it hovered around 105˚ for a couple of hours midday. High temp was 92˚. And yesterday the HI clipped 105˚ a few obs...high temp again was 92˚. No 80˚ dews either, which is sorta surprising considering IKK's history...but we also haven't been as wet as others in N IL. So all in all, a July 1995 repeat this was not in my hood. Still pretty miserable though...I must have lost 10lbs the last 2 days in sweat.

You must have a tremendous view of incoming storms.  I'd love to do the rural thing one day.  Wouldn't want to be too far from a bigger town/city though, so actually your type of situation would be pretty ideal for me.

Watching the shelf clouds roll in from the west is something I never get tired of. You make sacrifices living in a rural area, don’t get the best WiFi and sometimes even cellular data can slow down quite a bit.

Im literally 5 miles south of Champaign, I can see the State Farm center from my house (where U of I men’s basketball play) and multiple big name musicians come to play. It’s kinda crazy when you leave the U of I campus and head south, within about 3 miles you’re in nothing but cornfields.

It must be hot and muggy in other areas of your house.

It is... but there's lots of shade too.  Most homes up here don't have built-in AC. Last year I rarely even used the window AC, because even when it was warm, it wasn't too humid.

Crazy to think 6 days ago it was 37 and I was contemplating a fire in the stove.

I imagine it smells awesome outside with all of the firs pines and other evergreens around. I noticed the air around here had that "christmas tree scent" to it last night because it was so humid

The last time Madison had a June monthly average low temperature below the 1981-2010 average was in 2006. In addition, it has only occurred 4 times in the past 20 years.  Just another example of how warming and increased dews from evapotranspiration have combined to increase low temps in the Midwest.
