Not imby, but about 7 miles to the NW did. I didn’t even get an outflow, it just avoided me. AppsRunner
A lot of QPF over the next week or so for those along and south of I-80. Most places can handle the rain for now but there could be some hydro issues by next weekend. Thankfully this seems to be the last real day of heat. AAA got to 94/78 for a 110 HI. cyclone77
95 at MLI and also here today. Prior to today we had 92 three days in a row here, so today was quite a bit hotter as it turned out. MLI hit 99 back in May so only way they'll top that is to get a hundo on the board. With heavy rain potential over the next week and corn only getting taller, breaking 100 will probably be quite difficult unless we really dry out later in July. EDIT: Today marks the 14th 90+ at MLI already, and 8th for June.
Hoosier
Boundary just went through ORD, as noted by the wind shift but not the temp drop... yet. The 90s probably have about 5 minutes to live 18 Jun 5:51 pm 92 69 47 N
hawkeye_wx
I'm glad the heat is about to end. I mowed the neighbor's big yard late this afternoon and it was awful.

Friday we may have a hard time getting out of the 60s with a raw northeast wind, and some rain showers.

wisconsinwx
We had some training storms this afternoon for 2-3 hours, in which time we picked up 2-3" of rain. It feels like it's been awhile since we were in the middle of training convection to that extent, probably 2014. Nothing like that Houghton mess, but several traffic lights were out and plenty of street flooding on major roads.

Considering how that part of the city is a bit more open and doesn't have the concrete DTW has, it is surprising that DET stayed that warm. low was 79 at DET (78 at DTW). Yes it is odd especially since DET is usually cooler than DTW anymore.

I don't think I made it to 0.10" from tonight's bubbly stuff. I hope we can get something decent in the morning before everything shifts to the south.
