The 12z GFS had low to mid 90s for most of the immediate tristate at 2PM but almost everyone is in the upper 80s instead.

The NAMs are doing well today with only a small ring of 90 around Newark shown for 2PM on the 3k NAM. Newark and Teterboro are currently the only official stations at 90.

Auburn, Syracuse, Hamilton, Oneida, Rome, and Utica
1130 AM EDT Fri Jun 29 2018

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON SATURDAY TO 10 PM
EDT MONDAY...

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...From 95 to around 100 Saturday afternoon
then from 100 to locally 110 Sunday and Monday afternoons.

* TIMING...A prolonged heat wave will start on Saturday and
intensify Sunday and Monday with the highest heat index values
each afternoon. Hot and humid weather will continue through most
  of next week.

* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
  outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

Take extra precautions, if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency, call 9 1 1.

I think you have a BD fetish lol.

I must admit that I am not a fan of the big heat. But seriously, when was the last time in 2018 that we missed on opportunity for a backdoor cold front? Seems like high pressure always finds a way to pop up to our Northeast.

Yep it’s been the trend, kinda figured this was a possibility once the NAM hinted at it in the 84 hour range. Should have more of an effect on Boston/coastal areas than anybody else.  Those inland NJ/NY weenies with extreme heat fetishes should still roast.

Im up to 90.  LGA is 91. Central Park 88, they did get over an inch of rain yday, you may need a 95 degree type day to get 90 in the park right after heavy rain.

Upton put out Excessive heat watch for Sun afternoon to Mon evening.
