ForestHillWx
Pretty much a perfect early summer night out this way. No humidity, lush green foliage, temp is 68. I will miss this in the coming days.

During the last event the best rains were from the southern state north and then again offshore. Wantagh mesonet has .55. Pretty typical for the warm season. Rtd208
The 18Z GFS is a scorcher. I think the NWS will increase temps for at least Saturday, Sunday and Monday with their morning update as they still seem a bit low.

Really impressive stuff. Should be at least a few days with temps in the mid to upper 90's in the NYC metro and it looks to be fairly humid also. Overnight temps should be very warm as well. Friday starts the heatwave. I will actually be in Atlantic City beginning Saturday afternoon so hopefully it will be a bit cooler there but temps around 90 even there wouldn't surprise me. This looks like a several day prolonged heatwave with temps of 90 or above which could last through the first weekend of July.

That would be really impressive and very dangerous depending on HI. It'll be even dangerous bc of how cool its been last few days, people will be in for quite a shock. LongBeachSurfFreak
Amazingly the south shore somehow got through that first batch with minimal rain. Hoping the second batch can produce, though that too looks skewed to the north
