Not like the soil was super soaked from days of heavy rain....this was straight wind. Actually happy because I wanted to cut her down anyway. NB-Weather
Rode out storm in Mt Carmel area in Hamden. Winds were strong enough to rock car and at one point slightly push car backwards. Trees down everywhere. Almost every road in area blocked.

NB-Weather
From what I saw, largest quantity of trees down in Hamden seemed to be focused on New Road area. Combination of top of trees sheared off and full trees uprooted.

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
There was a shed in the background, you can still see it a bit, but it crumbled. Definately not the Rockport TX shed.

But you’re far, that’s too much to ask for. I hear chainsaws running violently right now so I’ll ask around tomorrow, someone will help. Thank you though. CT Rain
The damage in SW CT is unbelievable. Miles and miles of snapped trees in a swath stretching from the NY border to just north of New Haven. Epic.

Hoth
Amazing storm. Sucker was moving 100mph at one point. I went out on an errand and the storm was just moving out of Pa. I came back a half hour later with the sky darkening and a tornado warning issued and Ryan highlighting those nutty velocities. That was a real wtf moment. RUNNAWAYICEBERG
I’ll most likely, a good thing, never see anything like this again living here. Sick. Too bad I have to work today and leave for vaca tomorrow, otherwise I’d damage hunt around town and take pics.
Modfan
My wife's HS friend lives off Governors Hill Rd in Oxford CT and said she was watching Ryan and talking about tornado on the ground in Oxford and then could hear freight train sound and went to the basement; yard and road is littered with trees
