It begins in the west

URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
   Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 93
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1225 PM EDT Tue May 15 2018

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
     Western New York
     Pennsylvania

   * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 1225 PM until
     800 PM EDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     Widespread damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
       to 75 mph possible
     Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
       to 2.5 inches in diameter possible
     A tornado or two possible

   SUMMARY...A line of storms will intensify as it moves east from
   western Pennsylvania. Damaging winds and large hail are the primary
   hazards.

   The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75
   statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles south
   southwest of Franklin PA to 45 miles east of Williamsport PA. For a

Top of Blue Hill in Milton, MA.  Just off Route 128 and about a 20 minute hike to the top.  Don't know if things will hold together that far east, but if they do you have great views in all directions.

Perhaps not ... I was just looking at meso sites on Wunder' and many locations weren't bothered much ...that thing was really almost moving too fast to process much. It's a 2 minute thing where it rained and the sun was out with steam rollin off rooves, and everywhere it didn't happen appears to still be nearing 80/64 despite the satellite suggesting they are N of an outlfow boundary...

Which, this will fail because it's SNE before that factor limits anyway, but it will be blamed on the outflow probably - hahaha

Can I ask what the general overall feeling is on the potential? I feel like when things are predicted ahead of time, severe never materializes. It seems like SNE does better in "sneaky scooter" setups...things that never really warrant a preemptive warning usually end up producing

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 PM EDT
FOR ELK...NORTHWESTERN CLEARFIELD...SOUTHEASTERN MCKEAN AND
NORTHWESTERN CAMERON COUNTIES...

At 1238 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near East Branch Dam to near St. Marys to near
Brockway, moving east at 60 mph.

These are very dangerous storms.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. The strongest winds
         will be between St. Marys and Benezette.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
         considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
         Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Locations impacted include...
Ridgway, St. Marys, Johnsonburg, Force, Benezette, Brandy Camp, East
Branch Dam, Elk River, Brockport and Parker Dam State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THis is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION with tornado like wind
speeds expected. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are
especially susceptible to winds of this magnitude and may be
overturned. For your protection move to an interior room on the
lowest floor of a building. These storms have the potential to cause
serious injury and significant property damage.
