SnoSki14
Could we get a derecho, it's been mentioned in the discussion a few times. That'll really amp up the widespread damaging wind threat.

NJwx85
This goes without saying, but any discrete activity out ahead will have the potential to drop large hail and possibly a few spin ups.
Drz1111
The only issue down near our way is that the CAMs show us on the southern end of the line, so the line sets up sort of SW-NE as opposed to straight N-S, and we don't have the ideal trajectory of the mid-level winds perpendicular to the line. Man are Hartford and Springfiled under the gun, though, maybe even Boston if the line hauls ass fast enough.

I think that most people want a severe storm that doesn’t cause much damage, which is certainly possible. As a first hand wintness to the Mid-Atlantic derecho a few years back, most here would have **** there pants if they had experienced what I did that night in an RV surrounded by tall oak trees. I forgot what year it was maybe 2005 where a F2 Tornado went through parts of Hawthorne NY and literally knocked almost EVERY tree down!
