Dave, I have honestly never had an adrenaline rush last so long. Almost 2 hours later and I'm still kind of freaked out, it was very quick and intense. OceanStWx
Tough call on wind speeds since the tree probably came down on the wires and caused the pole to snap, but given the tree alone you're probably pushing a 70 mph gust.
CoastalWx
Today worked out as planned. You had good shear and MLCAPE. About what you would expect.
CoastalWx
Intense LTG at times tells me updraft strength not an issue. Lapse rates were sufficient. Even with 5.5-6C/KM..shear and good CAPE in the lower levels helps compensate.

SNE chasing is an issue imho. You can't see it coming like the plains, and you can't get out of the way.

But if the storm isn't ideally situated you're SOL and that's all there is to it.
CoastalWx
Line coming together in wrn MA, Kevin FTL again. That is associated with better dynamics. Still good theta-e ridge in place and now you have the height falls and PVA moving in.

bobbutts
Went for a weenie drive/walk, here's the only real damage I saw on Bow Bog Rd. in Bow. Tons of leaves and small branches everywhere, but this little area around the down tree had other damage nearby too.

CT Valley Snowman
Typical decent non severe storm here. Enough wind and lighting to grab your attention and make you watch but just never got to that next level of damaging. Torrential rain pulled some of the gutters off.
