I hope those Midwestern tornadoes are not too bad. There is a real possibility of five inch hail with some of those storms. That's some serious business hail right there. That's NO time for a jebwalk.

THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 89 DEGREES SET IN 1930.  

TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR THE WASHINGTON DC AREA HAVE BEEN KEPT AT 
RONALD REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT SINCE JUNE OF 1941. 
ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR THE WASHINGTON DC AREA OBSERVED 
DOWNTOWN EXTEND THE PERIOD OF RECORD BACK TO 1872.

ALL CLIMATE DATA ARE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY UNTIL REVIEWED BY THE

Some of us saw this coming. A lot of models underestimate how hot the surface gets when these air masses come over us in the spring. 78 becomes 92 in the span of a few days. There’s probably more of this to come today.
