the warm May was helped by having high minimums again...48 was the coldest temp and it came on the 1st...The highest May min is 49...four of the last seven years are in the top seven...Quite remarkable...

Warmest monthly minimum...

49 in 2012

49 in 1982

49 in 2014

48 in 1899

48 in 2015

48 in 1910

48 in 2018

This was our 18th top ten warmest month for local stations following our last top 10 coldest in February 2015. So we are running 18 to 1 in favor of top 10 warmth since then. NYC is 13 to1 since February 2015.

the Spring ended up averaging 52.2 in NYC...average is 52.9...May ends up averaging 66.9...the 1981-2010 average is 62.8 making this year a plus 4.1 for the month..

Wantagh only measured .58".   I dont believe that's accurate and it's not tje first time I've questioned their rain gauge.  

FRG had 1.33" which seems much more in line with what fell.

Yea, that seems about right. Hempstead Turnpike was closed due to flooding, really a mess out there.
