After having periods of showers/drizzle this morning/afternoon, now that the sun has gone down precip has turned to freezing rain...with a glaze on trees, cars and other elevated surfaces thus far.

Changed over to snow a bit ago, with 0.2" thus far.

Looks like a few tenths out on the grass.  Unlike a few nights ago the paved areas refused accumulation.  May get another few tenths out of this last blob of precip rotating down from the north.  This is one of the latest accumulating snows I can remember.  There's probably been others, but I can't remember any specifically.

Was thinking about that earlier.  There was like 1-1.5" on 4/14/2007 when I was in LAF and I have vague memories of the May 1989 snow, but that's about it.

Think there's a good chance that what falls tonight/early tomorrow morning will be it for any kind of snow for the season.  Unless something bizarre happens in May.

A normal May would be about 2% chance, but this one might be like 40% with the way things have been going.  :axe:

I remember May 1989 well. I was pitching that day in a pony league game...14 years old...snow was coming down pretty good, enough to whiten the field. It was amazing.

As for this event, ORD the low man on the totem pole in LOT's CWA.
