Tarheel17
Report from a friend driving 1 mile south of the confirmed location (Mcleansville) along I-85 10 minutes ago of power being out for that area, some wind damage, and a whole lotta rain. Before it went by I directed them to get off of the interstate and they are taking shelter in a business that's lost power right now until the worst of the line moves through. downeastnc
The debris sig faded so its hopefully done, its tough to get a long lived tornado in a line like that.....though it could cycle another.....no doubt was a tornado on the ground doing damage though in NE Greensboro. downeastnc
It could be producing a tornado again just NE of Reidsville.....couplet tightening up again.

Chinook
The rotation signature has been there from Greensboro to Ruffin. As mentioned before, the tornado debris signature was probably there in Greensboro (and there was a reported tornado) and Brightwood. Not sure about any other tornado debris signature along the path. Buckeye05
TDS is gone but the couplet is still there and approaching Danville, VA. Population 43,005.

hlcater
That TDS was over 20kft deep too. This is from RAX at an altitude of 20,400ft, with a ~120mph G2G couplet ongoing.

SENC
DISCUSSION...The convective line moving across western VA and central NC has gradually been increasing in forward speeds and severe thunderstorm warnings now extend to the eastern edge of WW 53. The northern extent of the severe potential is constrained by the wedge front draped from the eastern WV Panhandle across central VA and across the far southern Delmarva Peninsula. Even with this constraint, some severe potential exists across central VA for the next few hours with the approaching convective line. This line has produced tornadoes in the past and the overall environment remains supportive of embedded circulations, prompting the issuance of Tornado Watch 54 in central VA. Farther south, a local extension in area will occur soon into (per coordination with WFO RAH) across parts of central NC as the convective line continues to progress quickly northeastward. downeastnc
Little area of rotation trying to get going currently west of Lillington headed for the general RDU area. Its very weak though and really the only area showing rotation in the line ATM....

mob1
Rotation was broad for a while and got a bit tighter now, it's been one of those days where nothing maintains for too long as they're embedded in the line.
