80s were the dark ages. 18z improved from 12z though.

It looks okay i just thought we’re about to get NAM’d

Anything over 4 inches would be highly significant. 1-3 would be significant. Over 8 would challenge the famous 82 storm, but the climate was colder then ( and yet storms were not as intense as a rule )

As depicted by 18Z NAM, the snow falls during daylight hours. Sun angle will be a limiting factor in the City. I highly doubt NAM factors that in it's snow maps.

It’s still the warmest and most amped by far of the models, though it shifted south a bit. Verbatim almost all the snow would still be north and west of the city on that run.

Was just reading the NYT reports of the famous 82 storm, I was 20 years old. The temps were 21 over night and it snowed in the daylight, ending around 4-5 pm. It met blizzard criteria and dumped 20 in the Catskills. This doesn't look like that. I remember how cold that storm was and how it eclipsed memories of the earlier Jan storm that brought down the plane in DC. But it surely is possible to get a snowstorm of some type this weekend. Wife and daughter will be in Orlando. So I'll just let it melt by Mon. if it snows.

Since 1950, 37 storms brought measurable snowfall to at least one of the following cities after April 5: Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia. Of those storms, 25 brought measurable amounts to 1 of those cities only; 8 brought measurable snowfall to 2 of those cities; and, 4 brought measurable snowfall to all three of those cities. Only 1 brought 2" or more snow to all three of those cities (4/6/1982).

Well at least nam has warning snows for manhattan Bronx and north. It looks to me that this is trending stronger and better for us. If we could slow it down a bit

I’m sorry but I’d go on a date (don’t kiss on the first date) the nam over icon anyday. Icon was good for the last storm absolutely but so was the nam and nam has been great! Navgem is even better than icon. Until I fall in love with icon I won’t kiss it

by the way speaking of my corny ness do you guys like the name or should I change it

Central Park recorded 4.0 inches so unfortunately that's the official number when we all know it was 6 inches in most areas of the city. Just another of the infamous Zookeepers F ups. There's dozens of them through time.
