Wet snow this morning dropped 1.0" of snow both imby and at DTW. I am now at 61.5" on the season and DTW is at 59.7" (the 18th snowiest winter on record). In some areas the trees were very pretty, in other areas drippy, but it was nice to wake up to a winter wonderland for one last(?) time until probably November.

Big puffballs falling from the sky. Temps slightly below freezing. Nothing sticking. Not even to the grass. That's April sun angle for you.

Night and day make all the difference in the world with April snow. We had 1.0" with water content 0.15". So it was low ratio but it was (briefly) very white. Our temp never even hit freezing, hovering at 33-34° the entire time.

Yup. That's what I was hoping for. Initially we were slated to get hit between 6-9z, which would have been perfect. Unfortunately it slowed down.

Starting to get some slushy accumulation on the grass and, especially on the treetops. But it's about to wind down.
