Just started here too, lol. Of course they go to bed a little earlier. I imagine a wave of birdsong rolling around the planet with the sunrise.

This reminds me, not on as big a scale, though, of the 5 day rain event we had back in 2006. We got just over 18 inches up here in that one. It was so bad that they evacuated almost half of Tamaqua (the low areas along the Little Schuylkill River) because officials thought the dam at Tuscarora State Park, just north of town, was going to fail.

long range into next week doesn't look all that dry either. Maybe Monday will be nice. But tuesday and wednesday both look like washouts. then another break thursday and possibly friday, but by next weekend another system rolls in. In other words, don't look for a pattern change any time soon.
